The Board of Trustees of the Stonington Public Library is searching for a new Director to follow the retirement of our current director of nearly 10 years. Over the past several years, the Library has seen strong growth in both patronage and new programs, and is in the midst of upgrading and modernizing its facilities in downtown Stonington.
The Board seeks a person with a positive, pro-public attitude. The candidate will demonstrate energy, creativity and enthusiasm for building and maintaining robust library collections, services and programs that address all audiences in our community, from children to adults, from casual visitors to regular patrons. The position will be open beginning in January 2019. The pay range is from $16-18 per hour for a 16-hours per week position. The successful candidate must have some current experience in libraries, either as a volunteer or paid staff member.
