Beavers, Bobcats and Foxes.... Oh my! Join Martha Bell, Environmental Educator from Island Heritage Trust as we explore the world of mammals. After a general overview, we will feel the fur of a local mammals. Can we see the differences between coyote fur and grey fox fur OR muskrat and beaver fur? Multiple skulls and teeth will be viewed and handled as we wonder which animals are carnivores, omnivores or herbivores. Track shapes and patterns might give us insight to animal movements as well as help us discover “who was there?”. Come join us in this hands-on discovery of local mammals.
